United Fandom will host a series of Q&As with television writers and below-the-line crew members.
If the strike has taught us anything, it’s that the conglomerates don’t have a ton of fans. But the WGA members do. And boy, do those fans have questions. Questions about the strike, the rumors, and even the spoilers.
Featured Writers
The Daily Show’s Rob Kutner
Eureka’s Jaime Paglia
Heroes’ Michael Green
Law & Order: Criminal Intent’s Diana Son
Saturday Night Live’s Charlie Grandy
Supernatural’s Cathryn Humphris
and more to come…
How It Works:
1. On Fridays, the editors will announce this week’s featured writer.
2. Fans will have 48 hours (or Sunday by 11:59 PM PST) to submit their questions.
3. On Monday, the editors will send the questions to the feature writer, who has a week to answer.
4. When the writers send us back the answers, will we post them in a new ‘page’.
Send Your Questions To:
askthewriters@unitedfandom.com
The e-mail subject should state the writers’ name. Please include your first name. Ex:
What’s the best way for me to get involved in helping out the strike efforts?
- Jane
Eligible Questions:
Anything goes (aside from the few no-nos in the fine print). Fans may ask questions about the strike, about the industry, about the writing process, or about the show and its characters. Fans may even ask for thoughts on the presidential election, or the Atlanta Falcons head coach opening, or the most under-appreciated film of the 1940s.
Here’s the fine print: The editors at United Fandom reserve the right to omit questions we find offensive or inappropriate. We define those terms as (1) possible invasion of writers’ privacy, (2) angry rants about writers’ work, and (3) use of four-letter Anglo-Saxons words. Furthermore, the writers reserve the right to not answer every question.
Thank you in advance for your questions.
After all, healthy dialogue is the building block of all good relationships. (Take note, Mr. Counter.)
